Joy Schoffler is the Principal of financial services public relations firm Leverage PR and an active member within the crowdfunding industry. In addition to sitting on the board of the CF50, a global think tank for the emerging crowdfunding industry, Joy sits on the board of the Crowdfunding Intermediary Regulatory Advocates (CFIRA) and is a former Crowdfunding Professional Association (CFPA) board member. She is a contributing author for the upcoming DealFlow Media, Wiley-published book, “Crowdfunding: The Definitive Guide to Raising Capital on the Internet” and regularly writes for a number of outlets.
As principal of Leverage PR, Joy and her team regularly work with leaders within the crowdfunding, investment and fintech sectors, helping them to expand their reach through top tier and targeted industry trade media placements. Joy additionally founded the recently launched publicity platform CrowdBuilder, designed for crowdfunding and growth-phase companies looking to build their crowds of customers, contributors and fans.
Prior to launching Leverage, Joy worked in the private equity sector as Director of Acquisitions for a two-time INC500 award-winning investment firm. An Army veteran, Joy spent eight years in the Army Reserves and Texas Guard as both a Finance and Public Affairs Officer.
